Life on Elon's campus is usually pretty vibrant. Since many of the students are from areas not near to the Elon area most of the students stay on campus for the weekends. The school is pretty strict on alchohol so there is not as much partying going on in dorms however around campus there is quite a bit. There is one event that everyone looks forward to in the spring. Its called Festivus and involves a bunch of students gettting together...

Usually students declare their majors somewhere around the end of their sophomore year or first semester of junior year. There really is not a set time. It depends on your major and where you are as far as classes. It also depends on how sure you are on your major. Everyone is different as far as when they declare their majors and that is normal.

Elon's teams are all division 1. Football is in the FCS division which is formally 1 AA. Basically the only difference is the FCS division has a playoff system rather than a bowl playoff system. Basketball however is the regular Division 1 along with the rest of Elon athletics.

I like the food, facilities, and campus the most at Elon. On the other hand I do not like the Greek life at Elon. A lot of people take it too far. It seems as if you're either in a fraternity or sorority or your just a regular person with no real importance in the social life. Most people will agree when they step foot on Elon's campus for the first time. The beauty and greenery have you in awe. The campus is a registered...

Unfortunatley I do not have an exact statistic but I know something like 65-75% of students receive financhial aid. As you may know Elon is a private school which means they have more money to help out their students and they generally are very good about this if the need is expressed. I was able to attend Elon for less than half of the typical tuition which gives you an idea of their willingnes and ability to help. I found it very...

Students do tend to leave Elon quite often. There is greensboro just 45 minutes away and Chapell Hill and Raliegh about an hour away. Both of these areas provide shopping and fun for students who want to get away from campus for a few hours and see some other interesting parts of the state of North Carolina. Personally I often went to Chapell Hill on the weekend to visit friends and go to sporting events which always provide for a good...

At Elon there seems to be several different groups. Most students would agree that most people fall into one of three main categories; Greek life, acting, or just the average person. The Greek life at Elon is alive and well. If I had to guess I would say at least 40% if not more students are involved in Greek life at Elon. Often times there will be fraternity parties however there are usually other things to do. There are two bars...

I would say the most common career paths for Elon graduates are business administration type jobs. Anything from accounting to financial analysts are very popular. The live trading floor at the Elon business school makes for a very popular finance program. Not only does the Elon business school require at least one internship but they also help you find one and even carry you over into finding jobs for post graduation opportunities....

I think it was something like 90% of last year's graduates studied abroad at some point during their four years. It is very popular at Elon! There is a whole department dedicated to study abroad. They will assist you with everything from applying for trips to finding financial aid and scholarships to working out details for travel arrangements. There is even a Spanish center at Elon that will give students...

Housing on campus is very good. Housing is guaranteed and required for freshman as well as sophomores. The dorms themselves are much nicer than average for the most part with the exception of two or three buildings (even these buildings are not that bad). If you have been accepted at Elon and are looking to find out which dorms to try to get in you definitely want to go with the colonnades or the oaks if you can get in. Otherwise...
