Are students very social? Is there an active social scene open to students? Does the school have a reputation as a party school?

At Elon there seems to be several different groups.  Most students would agree that most people fall into one of three main categories; Greek life, acting, or just the average person.  

The Greek life at Elon is alive and well.  If I had to guess I would say at least 40% if not more students are involved in Greek life at Elon.  Often times there will be fraternity parties however there are usually other things to do.  

There are two bars just off campus which are very popular, especially on Thursday nights for karaoke night.  

Personally i proffered hanging out with friends over in the Oaks which are the brand new on campus apartments.  Overall the campus has a pretty relaxed feel on the weekends and at night.  

As far as a party school...I would not say Elon is a party school per say.  It has had alcohol issues over the years but the administration has really started cracking down.  They realize alcohol is going to be present in college life but they are trying to cut down on drinking in excess and things of the like.  

Although Elon is not a huge party school there are definitely things to keep you occupied on the weekends.
