Elon's athletic teams have started to get noticed in recent years.  Their basketball team played in the SoCon championship televised on ESPN nationally.  The football team had a winning record last year.  Both teams are predicted to repeat or do better this up coming year.  It should be a great year for Elon athletics!

What division are Elon's atheletics in? What league(s) do the basketball and football teams play in?

Elon's teams are all division 1.  Football is in the FCS division which is formally 1 AA.  Basically the only difference is the FCS division has a playoff system rather than a bowl playoff system.  Basketball however is the regular Division 1 along with the rest of Elon athletics.
