vectorA compact notation used to refer to a list of variables, which may themselves be numbers or algebraic expressions. A vector may be written as a row, so that , or as a column, so that A vector with N elements is said to be of dimension N. Vectors provide a convenient notation for referring to lists of the quantities or prices of goods.
