M2A possible definition of broad money. In the UK, M2 includes notes and coin in circulation plus non-interest-bearing bank deposits plus building society deposits plus National Savings accounts. In the US it includes M1 plus money market deposit accounts, balances in money market mutual funds, and savings and time deposits of under $100,000.
