corporation
corporationA collective body carrying on economic activities, able to sue and liable to be sued, and to pay taxes, as an entity distinct from the individuals running or employed by it. A public corporation is a state-owned body; a private corporation is a synonym for a company. Corporation tax (UK) and Corporation Income Tax (US) are taxes on the profits of companies.
