The University installed sprinklers on the corner of Fifth and Reade streets because the guys playing Frisbee and the girls laying out in bikinis were too much of a distraction for passing traffic.

Cotten Hall is said to be haunted by the ghost of a girl who supposedly hung herself in the shower years ago after a heartbreak. That is why the showerheads are so low in Cotten now. Numerous students have reported things being moved in their rooms and that posters have been removed from the walls and laid flat across their beds while both roommates were gone. Some students say they have awakened to see the ghost walking away from their beds or standing near their closets. The ghost is friendly, so there is no need to be scared of her.
