Certainly the pictures presented are stark and shocking, and the analysis of the poem is very nicely done. It was also probably very instructive for the students to do the literary and visual research on the poem as well as they did. They should all be commended. One could quibble with a few things: the layout and the background, the lack of a title and the spelling mistakes. All these things are minor in relation to the job done, for, in general, the analysis is accurate and commendable.

Personally, however, I am a reader, and the words of the poem alone paint a harrowing enough picture of the horrors of war. It may be hard to believe, but, for me, the pictures do not strengthen the poem, rather they somewhat detract from its dark, sardonic impact. But, again, I commend all the students involved for their effort.

Understand, I have the same reaction to music videos: if the music is good enough, if it communicates its message clearly and with honesty and heart, then the video part is superfluous.
