In "The Dead", what is the significance of the names Gabriel and Michael as it relates to the angels?

    Both Gabriel and Michael are archangels, a higher rank of angels. The two archangels are a part of most religious beliefs. In Christianity, Michael is the commander of God's army. Gabriel is God's messenger and is believed to have foretold the births of John the Baptist and Jesus.
