    i havent finished the book completely but from what iv read, Renfield and Dracula display similar attitudes to existence - renfield believes in the consumtion of anothers life force (in this case blood) will prolong his life. As is the same with Dracula, he drinks blood to live (sort of considering he is the un-dead)
