What are some of the reasons why Dracula would be considered a monster?

    Well, he bites the necks and drinks the blood of people for one thing. He is undead, meaning he died, but he is still "alive." He controls people, like Renfield, and makes them do what he wants. He kills people and turns them into the same kind of creature that he is.

    Dracula is a very hypnotic figure.  He is surrounded by women who have succumbed to his charms.  He corrupts the purity of women by possessing them; vampirism is a metaphor for sexuality in the book. Therefore, as an evil force, the opposite of the force of good in the world, he is able to draw women and others to the dark side.

    Dracula corrupts his victims minds, they must submit willingly to his powers.  With his evil powers, Dracula can change form and command some aspects of nature and animals.  Everything he does is for the purpose of  acquiring  power.  There is no good in Dracula, even though he appears to be a gentleman, he is subtle and sly and very skilled at getting what he wants.  He is a master manipulator. Using people for his own pleasure and for his desired purposes.  Vampire or not that is the description of an evil individual.
