I am involved with a close reading group and we are on chapter 4 the murder of Mr Danvers Carew and whilst reading its amazing the amount of hidden words and meanings that suggest stevenson was in some way bringing god into the book,

would just like to know if any1 else has noticed this?

Of course it's possible!  Remember that with any work of literature, as long as you can point to a phrase, a passage, a single word that alludes to something else in which you support your premise, you may interpret as you are able.  No piece of literature will be the same for any two readers based on experiences, values, traditions, and knowledge base.  It's great that you have picked up on the possibility of Christian belief in this piece.

That is terrific that you noticed that.  To share with your group, make a list of places that you noticed references to God or Christianity.  I've always found that having your "evidence" to back you your assertions is a great idea.
