        <description><![CDATA[This book was first published in 1989.  Although the first person narrator never mentions an exact year, the setting, language, references to drug cartel and FBI, and descriptions suggest the late 80's early 90's.  If you haven't read Duncan's book &quot;Who Killed My Daughter&quot; I would recommend it.  These two books are strikingly similar, and the latter is the story of Lois Duncan's daughter's murder.  A very sad case.]]></description>
