Newspaper Assignment

Description

I use this with That Was Then, This is Now by S. E. Hinton, but it can be used with any book really. It is a newspaper that the kids create. They make a large article showing their comprehension of the story, three smaller articles talking about more intricate scenes and then their choice of newspaper aspects to clarify such as an obituary, social event, etc. They really enjoy it and the projects come out super nice. I generally give them a manilla folder to create their newspaper from so they are all uniform in size.
