Critical Thinking Exercises – Practical Problem Solving
Objective: This document outlines a practical mode of exercising critical thinking skills in the classroom by challenging students to apply problem solving skills to everyday situations.
The following questions can be used in classroom exercises individually, as the basis for small group discussion or written warm-up activities, or can be linked together in a worksheet format. This group of questions is by no means exhaustive, but is rather intended to be a starting point for teachers to prepare original scenarios that will similarly challenge students to think critically.
