Cornell Notes Set-Up for a Achieve 3000 Article

Posted by alohaspirit on April 10, 2010

If you teach at a school that has Achieve 3000, then you could use this lesson. I have the students read "Giant Stone Heads in Trouble" and then take notes on causes/effects/solutions. This is a great article for our curriculum (Pacific Island Studies/Current Issues), but if you just want to teach cause/effect then you can use this article. This document is my own notes that I use to go over the information in class. It also includes follow up questions for a closure. You can do this in one period, and if you assign the reading for homework, you can have even more discussion in class.
