Connotations with Car Names

This is a sentence writing activity for higher level English Learners. Students look at car names from the past 5 decades, analyze the names, and write sentences answering questions about the emotions related to those names and the types of people who might buy those cars. It's a great introduction to a lesson on denotation and connotation. It's also great practice for syntactically complex sentences if you're a teacher from CA and your students take the CELDT.Download Options
