Competency Goal #2

To advance physical and intellectual competency, I will do my best to the children in a safe and friendly environment. I will have an open communication with the child and the family. Also, while creating my weekly lesson plan, I will include physical, cognitive, and creative activities to improve all functional areas.
In the morning, when the parents are dropping off their children, I ask the parents about how well the child slept and what they have eaten. Communication with the parents allows me to better understand the childs’ needs so I can better provide for the child. Sometimes, we sit in a circle and ask the children questions and watch their reactions to the questions. Throughout the day, I communicate with the children to ensure their well being and help them understand what is going on.
During outside play, we encourage the children to be active. They play with balls and other fun and safe toys to stay active. They are learning
