Question:

Have you found a best standard procedure to follow in obtaining certain literary essays about "Daisy Miller"?

Some articles, such as Cathy Davidson's "'Circumsexualocution' in Henry James's Daisy Miller and William Grant's "'Daisy Miller': A Study of a Study", and Paul Lukacs "Unambiguous Ambiguity:  The International Theme of 'Daisy Miller' are very difficult to find.  Is there a best standard procedure to follow in actally obtaining these essays?

Davidson's article can be found in the Arizona Quarterly.  Here is the full citation:

Davidson, Cathy M.  "'Circumsexualocution' in Henry James's Daisy Miller." Arizona Quarterly 32 (Winter 1977): 335-55.

I'm not sure what you mean by "best practices" in locating it. I would go to a local university library to search it.  The databases that I have access to do not seem to hold it.

I would advise you to first go to your school/university library, or obtain access to remote access to the databases. Most schools have subscriptions to the journals that would allow you to access these articles. If that is not the case, I would try the public library databases.
