Posted by ms-mcgregor on Monday October 20, 2008 at 7:13 PMReverend Hale quits the court after John Proctor is arrested because Proctor was unsuccessful in convincing Judge Danforth that Abigail and he had an affair. Hale believes Proctor and is tired of all the killing that has occurred as a result of the witchcraft convictions. He is also digusted with the behavior Abigail and the girls showed towards Mary and Proctor and can't believe Danforth believes them.
