Tips to Succeed at Connecticut College

  • It’s okay not to know what you want to major in right off the bat. Then again, you’ll need to pick one sophomore year, so it pays to plan your courses ahead. This goes for planning your study abroad program as well.

  • You need to keep up with your reading assignments, but you don’t always need to read every word.

  • The Roth Writing Center is always available to help you improve your writing skills and get over a case of writer’s block. It’s for everyone from remedial writers to advanced scribes. It’s free, too!

  • If you get the chance to rewrite a paper, do it. Professors recognize effort and reward it.

  • Don’t stress out so much with academics that you miss everything else the college has to offer.
