Learn how to manage your time.

Don't get bogged down in schoolwork; find other activities to balance your life.

Don't go to parties every night, no matter how many of your friends are going.

Find something you love to study and pursue it.

Take advantage of block breaks to relax your body and mind.

Get outdoors in the afternoons and on the weekends.

Schedule lab classes for times you know you won't have many other time commitments.

Ask upperclassmen for advice on professors and classes.

Find a place and time to study where you won't get distracted by friends.

Talk to professors if you have questions, even if they intimidate you.

Keep an open mind, and don't lock yourself into a major right away.
