School Spirit

Holy Cross has a lot of school spirit. There's even one day a year—Purple Pride Day—that's dedicated to enlivening school spirit. School spirit is most evident at athletic events, particularly football and basketball games. Holy Cross's every-other-year away football game at Harvard always attracts a large Crusader crowd. The bleachers at basketball games are usually filled with a sea of students wearing purple T-shirts. Most students sport at least one garment of Holy Cross garb—usually either a sweatshirt of a baseball hat. For a small school, Holy Cross has tons of spirit.
