Jamie's arrival at Colby - 3
These are pictures taken on the Saturday (Aug 29, 1995) when we drove Jamie up to Waterville, Maine to begin his four years at Colby. He appreciated the ride, and was happy to have us help him get his gear into his room -- but once that was done, we was persona non gratis, and we left him alone. We stayed for a "parent dinner" to hear some welcoming remarks by the college administration, spent the night at the local hotel, and then headed back the next day. David and I drove directly to Amagansett, while Toni drove back to NYC.
