Students Speak Out On Overall Experience
“Quite simply, coming to Clemson was one of the best choices I've ever made. I fell in love with it from my first visit junior year of [high school], and it's given me nothing but great experiences and memories since. My mom didn't want me to go here, since it was ‘too far from home,’ but my parents have grown to love it, too, and plan to retire somewhere in this area in a few years. The easiest way to tell you about my experience here is that I've already done four years here, and I'm set to do five more, just because I don't want to leave. When I would go home for the summer, I would never want to leave, and would count the days until I could start back in the fall. Clemson got inside me. You'll see bumper stickers around here that say ‘my blood runneth orange,’ but nobody really understands that's the way it works until you get here.”
“I first knew I was going to school here during that visit my junior year … but before I even set foot on campus. We were about 10 minutes away, just having gotten off the interstate, and on the road were a series of 10 tiger paws painted. Every mile or two after that, you'd see another set of 10 tiger paws painted on the road, letting you know you were going in the right direction. Right at that first set of paws, I got the feel for what it meant to be a Clemson student. The passion has grown ever since.”
