Students Speak Out On Overall Experience
“Clark was an awesome place to meet many different people and have opportunities to try different classes and concentrations. I will never forget those whom I've befriended and the professors who taught me what I know now. If you're looking for a school that isn't too large, and professors who have time to talk with you, then this is the place to be. You just have to get past the fact that Clark sticks out like a sore thumb in the middle of Worcester. Think of it as a rich town in between two not-so-rich towns. For you people who live in the North shore, think of it as driving through Methuen, then you hit Lawrence, then to Andover—a culture shock in 10 minutes driving down Route 110.”
“Clark is okay. I don't believe in the ‘true love’ philosophy of schools, which says there is only one perfect school you can be happy at. I think most types of people can be happy here at Clark because it's a liberal arts school and there is plenty of choice intellectual work, as well as a lot of different campus groups. I don't think Clark is the best school I've ever seen, because as far as I can see, the people at Swarthmore have got to be the happiest, smartest people I've ever met, plus they can drink whenever without punishment, but Clark will get you through four years with friends and a degree worth having.”
