The last section of The Clan of the Cave Bear describes the Great Clan Meeting and its aftermath. Once every seven years all the Clans in the area get together for a grand festival where they kill a captive Cave Bear raised by the host Clan from a cub as a way of communing with the Great Bear Spirit.
