  • The second floor of James Annex is haunted by the ghost of a former student.

  • Back in the 1980s a couple DJs at KSCL, the campus radio station, decided to play a speech by then president Ronald Reagan. After airing the speech, one DJ said, “Okay, you can put Reagan back in his cage.” Several days later the Secret Service arrived on campus and promptly shut down the radio station until the threat was cleared. Apparently Mr. Reagan was not trapped in a cage, and the station soon reopened.

  • The elevator in Mickle Hall is haunted by the ghost of a former College president.

  • The tunnel system beneath the library was constructed as a bomb shelter during the 1950s.
