School Spirit
Since Centenary has no football team, school spirit doesn't reach the frantic, frenzied mania of most universities. You'll rarely see students wearing face paint and large foam hands. That doesn't mean that Centenary is completely void of spirit. Athletic events, mostly basketball, are filled with cheering fans. But the majority of students tend to show their support for the school in other ways than screaming their voices out at sports events. Most students are really interested in promoting the College to prospective students. Students will go out of their way to help admissions or other campus organizations. Students that are leaders of organizations such as the campus radio station or the newspaper are incredibly loyal to the school and determined to present a good image to the surrounding community.
