Censorship | Pornography Should Be Censored
Robert H. Bork is a lawyer, law professor, former judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals, and author of Slouching Towards Gomorrah: Modern Liberalism and American Decline, from which this viewpoint is excerpted. Bork asserts that pornography is harmful to society and has no social value. Unless restrictions are placed on sexually explicit and violent material, American culture and society will degenerate into chaos. Furthermore, Bork contends, censorship is necessary to protect children from the effects of pornography.
