The Story:
The Pollitt family had assembled to celebrate Big Daddy’s sixty-fifth birthday. While Brick showered, Maggie described the birthday dinner, telling how badly Gooper’s five children had behaved and how their mother, Mae, used them to impress Big Daddy. Brick came out of the bathroom on crutches, having broken his ankle jumping hurdles.
