According to the eNotes study guide, there are two other major themes: language and race. Both of which have direct correlations with the theme of colonialism, but they can be analyzed and evaluated as independent themes.

Also, there is also a theme of "coming-of-age" in this book apart from themes like colonialism, language and race.
