School Spirit

Students are proud to say they go to Carleton, and no one is ever ashamed of wearing Carleton's maize and blue colors. The basic premise for Carleton school spirit is that if a sports team is winning, student fans will show up. During the women's basketball team's successful run, fans have turned out in droves to see the Knights sweep their way through the MIAC conference. Fans at games wear their “Bleed Blue” T-shirts, the makeshift pep band jokes its way through fight songs, and the famous Carleton Male Cheerleaders run around topless on the hardwood. As the football team wins more games, there's an increasing number of Carleton fans going to the games with the same enthusiasm.
