    Ezra Pound had a surprisingly ordinary childhood. He was born in Hailey, Idaho (1885) and grew up in a small town outside Philadelphia, Wyncote.

    Two influences in his early life were both his father and grandfather's involvement in the physical making of money. But one of the unfortunately indelible marks on the artist was the anti-semitism he absorbed during his formative years. It would never leave him.
