The Canterbury Tales Group
Question:
What thirty characters are found in the Prolouge to The Canterbury Tales?
My teacher said something about breaking a group apart but the group I found when I "broke them apart" I still only had about 23/24 characters.

Then the "head" nun or the Prioress with the Monk, the Nun, Friar and the Priest. Following the religious figures is the Merchant. Then the Cleric, the Man of Law, and the Franklin. So far that's 12.
The next group are more of a working class. It begins with the Haberdasher, the Carpenter, the Weaver, the Dyer, the Tapestry-maker, and the Cook. That makes 6 more (18).
The rest follow no certain order. The Shipman, the Physician, the Wife of Bath, the Parson, the Plowman, the Miller, the Manciple, the Reeve, the Summoner, the Pardoner, and then there is the host. That makes 11 in this group with a total of 29. This all came straight from the list on the Prologue's summary link below. Many count Chaucer as the final "character" so he could be #30 for your list.
