Call It Courage | Related Titles/Adaptations

Most of the other works of Armstrong Sperry make use of the sea and the lives of sailors, but are adventure tales set in a more modern era, such as the War of 1812 or World War II. Similar to Call It Courage, the main character in these stories, usually a young American, faces obstacles that test his courage.

A sound filmstrip version of Call It Courage is available from Random House/Miller-Brody. Full-color paintings resembling Polynesian prints accompany the recorded dramatization. Disney Studios produced a film version of Call It Courage in 1978.
