Also I hope that by "dominating" you are only referring to greater number of men as compared to women in CPA Board. I am sure that it will not be right to assume that the men dominate the CPA Board in any other way involving discrimination against women.
The main reasons why there are more men than women on CPA Board are historical and cultural. In Historically the cultures worldwide, including in USA has encouraged women to be more involved in household chores and looking after the family, rather than taking up jobs in commercial and industrial establishments. Because of this kind of culture, women were not encouraged very much to take up higher studies. In present day societies we intellectually accept the rights and capability of women perform the jobs in commercial and other public establishments, however, it takes time for women to come forward to seek higher education and seek such jobs. I expect as more and more women join services in CPA Board, and rise up the hierarchy, gradually the disparity in number of men and women will disappear.
