I am not sure what exactly you mean. But there is the unite coin which is worth 1L introduced in 1602  by James I and ended mint in 1662. There there is a 2L coin first minted in 1802 under George III and continues to this day. There are a variety of collectable coins in 1, 2 and 3  pound denominations that are no longer being minted today.

The Euro is currently being used in Great Britain alongside British money. British pounds are used alongside the Euro in Great Britain because the British do not want to give up their own money even though they belong to the European Union.
