    There are four major cigarette manufacturing companies in India. These are:

    ITC Industries Limited: The company. earlier named Indian Tobacco Company, is the biggest cigarette manufacturer in India. It is also one of the biggest private company in India. In addition, tobacco products, it has business interest in hotel and ready-made garment industry also.

    VST Limited: It was earlier named Vazir Sultan Tobacco company. It is a subsidiary of ITC.

    GTC Industries Limited: After ITC VST combine it is the second biggest cigarette manufacturing company in India. Earlier it was named Golden Tobacco Company

    Godfrey Phillips India Limited.

    It is worth noting that in India another product called beedi is very popular. It is like cigarette rolled in a type of leaf rather than paper. There are scores of companies in India that manufacture beedi.
