Students Speak Out On Overall Experience

“I wouldn't trade going here for anything. It has been the best experience of my life so far. Even though there are pretty strict curfew and dress rules, the atmosphere people bring from being happy to following rules is good. Since everyone here is Mormon, you can talk about church things in class and not be afraid to. I love that. You will find some self-righteous people, but for the most part, it's just a lot of people who want to do the right thing. Despite the crappy weather and a few individuals that make you want to throw up every time they say something cheesy, or a few people who try way too hard to be nice and Mormony, I love it. everyone is friendly—even the fast food workers! If you want a good, safe environment, and a place where you can really concentrate on your studies without having to worry about drinking or fitting in, choose BYU!”

“I never had a great desire to go to BYU before. However, I can tell you now that there is no other school I would rather be at, no better place to get an education, and no better environment to be around. I don't know if you are LDS, but I grew and learned so much during my first year, and the awesome experiences just keep on coming. I hear about the crap that goes on with my old friends at other colleges, and it just makes me even more grateful that I am at such a fantastic university where I have the opportunity to be around such wonderful people, on a beautiful campus, and in a place where I can grow and learn more than I ever imagined. Like any place, BYU has a few downfalls, but the benefits totally outweigh them. All I can say is, forget any other option, and go to BYU!”
