    Bill Burke is Leslie's father.

    Janice Avery is a bully. Jess and Leslie pull a prank on her but regret it afterward.

    May Belle is Jess's baby sister.

    Brenda and Ellie are Jess's teenaged sisters. They are selfish and vain.

    Gary Fulchner is in Jess's class and is his rival for the fastest kid in the fifth grade.
