    When Janice Avery, the school bully takes Mae Bells “Twinkies” she wants Jessie to do something.  He and Leslie write a love note to Janice and sign the name Willard Hughes, the boy every girl in the seventh grade has a crush on. In the note it says that Willard likes Janice and wants to walk her home from school the next day.  Jess puts the note in Janice’s desk.  Janice falls for it, and misses the bus the next day.  She ends up having to walk home alone because Willard never shows.  Even though Jess feels a little sorry for her he and Leslie believe they did what had to be done.
