    The word "scatological" means something like "having to do with excrement."  So typically, it is connected with bodily functions such as defecation and urination.

    If you are referring to the use of the word in Ch. 10 of Brave New World, the word is used in just a slightly different way.  There, it is being used to refer to sex and reproduction but not in the sense of sex being something to be interested in (pornographic, as it says in the passage) but rather in the sense of sex (actually, I should probably say reproduction and the actual physical conception and birth of children in the natural way) being some sort of gross bodily function more along the lines of excretion.
