Question:
Can you go in the Early Decision Program as "Undecided"?
Hi all,
I'm a senior in high school , and BU is my first choice. I will be applying for the Early Decision program.
Do you have to pick a specific major? There doesn't seem to be an "undeclared" option on the CommonApp. I ask because I hope to enter the School of Engineering and study Biomedical Engineering as a major. However, my grades are a tad lackluster, I have a 3.2 and SAT of 1150. I do refugee work and have plenty of extracurriculars, butmy chances still remain on the slim side.
Advice will be GREATLY appreciated.

However, you can apply as an Undeclared major to the College of Arts and Science. You'd be able to transfer when you get on campus/the following semester (if classes are full). You can verify this on the BU website listed below, under the "Application Process" tab.
However, with that said, you shouldn't worry about applying to the school with low credentials. You're already getting a boost from applying early decision. I'd suggest you apply to School of Engineering and see what happens. It's possible that if your credentials aren't right for that school but you're still a good fit for BU, you'll be placed in the Science and Engineering Program at Metropolitan College.
