Personally, at this point in the story, I think everything Travis is seeing is true...whether it's true for the reasons he thinks it's true, or whether this is something skewed in his mind, I don't know. But yes, I think she's really cheating. Posted by malibrarian on Apr 10, 2008. |

I'm not sure. I haven't decided whether anything Travis says is reliable. Gotta keep reading. Posted by linda-allen on Apr 10, 2008. |

I think Shelby drives me bonkers. (And that she is really cheating because I agree with what Jennifer is saying.) Posted by brandih on Apr 10, 2008. |

In some way and on some level, she's definitely cheating I think. Everything that Trav has dreamed or prophesied has so far come true, though not always in the most literal manner. And that's the problem with dreams and visions (and all "knowledge"), yes? An alligator can easily become a raft. Posted by scott-locklear on Apr 10, 2008. |

Did anyone notice some of the quotes on the preface page? My favorite was the one from Einstein, "Reality is an illusion, albeit a persistent one." (Hope I got that right. My husband hijacked my book.) Posted by jamie-wheeler on Apr 10, 2008. |

Very close. "Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one." I also thought it was interesting that he thanks the band Wilco and God on the acknowledgements page. Posted by brandih on Apr 10, 2008. |

I'm enjoying the "Runaway Mind Ride" by Travis and myself going back and forth on what is real and imagined. Is she cheating? I re-read ch 1-3 preparing questions for Will. Seeing in later chapters his abilities qualified in California I think his premonitions are right. But I have a nagging feeling I'm being set up. Anyone else feel that? Kind of off-topic, but just curious - Has anyone read Clarke's other book, The Worthy? I've just ordered it from amazon because I've liked Vishnu so much. Posted by malibrarian on Apr 12, 2008. |
