Each year, the Oklahoma City Sports Association sponors the donation of two $1200 scholarships for outstanding students who have particularly excelled in high school athletics and who have demonstrated their leadership skills and service attributes in the surrounding communities. This association was formed in 1957; since, it has grown tremendously and now hosts over 220 events in the Oklahoma City area each year. The communities surrounding the Sports Association have greatly benefited from both the positive economic impact and the valuable family-friendly entertainment brought to the area through this remarkable non-profit organization.

The annual scholarship offered by the Sports Association was created to further show its support of the families that continue to welcome their efforts and to provide encouragement to students who have proved themselves to be great athletes, worthy citizens, and generous contributors to their community. There are several eligiblity requirements that the Oklahoma City Sports Association has outlined for students interested in applying for this scholarship, including:

In addition to these requirements, students must be actively engaged in sports related activities, demonstrate leadership and character, be involved in community service programs, and perform academically. Scholarships will be awarded to one male and one female student each year and must be used within 2 years of receipt. The checks will be issued directly to the school or university at which the student is enrolled.
