Dance Scholarships!
Saturday, February 2nd, 2008Stretch out your jazz hands, pack up your leg warmers, channel your inner Julia Stiles, and get ready to audition for these great scholarships:
The Washington Post Music and Dance Scholarship Awards Program
This scholarship’s deadline has already passed but for forward-thinking, high school sophomores this is a great opportunity to look for next year. To apply, students need to be high school juniors who want $2,000! The checks will be mailed to the institution you attend. You must submit transcripts, an essay, and a performance video.
Another scholarship to look forward to next year. It’s Vegas, baby! And this scholarship is for the kind of dancing that usually doesn’t involve poles.
Requirements:
- A declared dance major.
- Letter of intent.
- 2 letters of recommendation.
- A video with a 2-3 minute solo for freshman, new dance majors, and transfer students.
- Transcript.
