The International Association of Ice Cream Vendors Scholarship Program

What could be better than ice cream and a scholarship to the university of your choice? Not much (except for maybe a permanent summer vacation of course). The International Association of Ice Cream Vendors sponsors several scholarship award programs each year for eligible students.

According to the website the International Association of Ice Cream Vendors began offering scholarships to students more than a decade ago in order to “encourage young people in the vending industry to further themselves through education. The scholarships are awarded to individuals from any member company that is in good standing with the IAICV.”

Students must submit an essay that responds to one of the following topics:

“The Importance of Entrepreneurship to Me” or “What the Vending Business Means to Me.”

To be eligible for this scholarships:

  • Students must have a parent or guardian that works as an ice cream vendor and is in good standing with the organization.
  • Students must have worked in the ice cream industry during the award year.
  • Students must use the funds donated to pursue a degree in secondary education.
  • Applications must be submitted by October 1, 2007, for consideration. For more information or to download an application online, visit the IAICV website.
