Calling all aspiring producers, directors, actors, and other creative individuals interested in a career in the film industry: Citizens for Global Solutions sponsors an annual Flash Movie Contest and wants you to participate.

According to the website, Citizens for Global Solutions seeks to create “a future in which nations work together to abolish war, protect our rights and freedoms, and solve the problems facing humanity that no nation can solve alone. This vision requires effective democratic global institutions that will apply the rule of law while respecting the diversity and autonomy of national and local communities.”

It’s third year in the running, this contest has been an encouraging success, promoting students to speak out and begin taking their future into their own hands. While the theme of the contest changes each year, its goal remains firmly based in using the combination of short films and creative minds to draw attention to global issues.

Prizes are distributed accordingly:

1st place—$2,000
2nd place—$1,000
3rd place—$500
4th place (viewers choice)—$250
