Cosmo Girl offers an annual C.G. Girl of the Year Award to qualifying young women interested in earning money towards their tuition. This year, however, Cosmo Girl has some exciting news: the scholarship, which is sponsored by Maybelline New York, has now doubled bringing it to $20,000 in financial aid assistance.

Some eligibility requirements for this award include:

Applicants must submit an essay explaining how they have made a difference in their communities and in the world. The essay must be 300 words in length.

The deadline for this year’s award is Thursday, July 27. If you happen to miss the deadline don’t despair–this award is offered annually, just check back next year for details.
